If you want to start right away playing the Hammond organ, this video is for you. It is an awesome video for beginners. Basically, the video outlines the main things you need to play the organ. After this video, and of course some practice, you should be playing the organ. The goal is to get you motivated to play, so that you will have the drive to want to continue.
The musicians are local organist out of Alabama, and are very young. They have been playing for years and have that "down-south gospel vibe." They spell out the chords and display them on the screen as well. This is my number one recommendation for beginners.

This is a perfect video for beginners. For someone who just want to get started playing the organ. This video will show you all the chords and even outline them on the screen for further reinforcement.

As young musicians, we all got started out this way. But now in the times we live in, people are so busy and it's hard for someone just getting started to find someone who will take the time to show them. These videos offer a supplemental solution to your burning desire to play. We all learned this way, but now through media and the internet you have several of options.

The title and description deceives you and leads you to believe this product will teach you how to play the Hammond Organ by saying things like \"It is an awesome video for beginners. Basically, the video outlines the main things you need to play the organ\" etc. This is NOT SO!!! This product DOES NOT outline anything, is NOT for beginners and is simply some poorly put together pieces and parts of vid clips of two young organist *DOING SOME STUFF ON THE ORGAN* and there is no real TEACHING and INSTRUCTION happening on HOW TO PLAY THE HAMMOND ORGAN. Also really tough to see some of the things being done on this product i.e. keys being blocked by fingers and by poor camera angles. *This is not to say the two young men cant play because they sound very good but just didnt match up with the dvd description*. Save your money on this one!
